The Golden Slipper Folk Club takes place in the Golden Slipper Club at the cellar bar of the Ferry Inn, High Street, Shoreham, 8.30 for 9pm on the first Thursday of each month.Individual performers and small bands get an opportunity to perform three songs or tunes 'unplugged' in what the organisers reckon is the smallest performance venue in the known world.
Hear diverse range of musical styles, including folk, blues and contemporary music. On the same night offerings can range from the Beachboys and Ry Cooder to Planxty and Woody Guthrie; from blues to the Blaydon Races and the Black Velvet Band.
Admission is free, but it's recommended that you arrive early for a seat or risk having to stand on the stairs!
Space at the Golden Slipper Folk Club is at a premium.
