Chichester Watersports Centre

Windsurfing lessons and equipment plus other watersports

Situated in an old gravel pit at Westhampnett near Chichester the Chichester Watersports Centre may not be in the loveliest of locations. It's sandwiched between the busy A27 and the council waste tip. But don't let that put you off visiting it.

If you want to learn how to windsurf on flat water, then the Chichester Watersports Centre could be just the place to start. You can take a lesson from the Centre's RYA qualified instructors without the terrors of the briny deep adding to the difficulties of staying upright on your windsurfer.

You don't need to be a member to windsurf and the club has changing facilties, a shop selling windsurfing equipment and a bar and terrace.

As well as windsurfing, you can also try your hand at wakeboarding, waterskiing and kayaking too.

Windsurfing at Pagham near Bognor Regis

Ocean Motion Windsurfing Club windsurf on the open sea to the south of the shingle spit at the mouth of Pagham Harbour, rather than inside the Nature Reserve at Pagham Harbour itself.

Pagham is a more suitable winsurfing location for an experienced windsurfer than a beginner or child.
