Lickfold
Lickfold lies in the shadow of the great TV transmitter mast of Bexley Hill in a lovely leafy part of West Sussex known for its wooded roadsides and nowadays at least, affluent villages.
Lickfold is no exception, being well heeled. Although the village is rather strung out along the road that passes through it there's no shortage of impressive real estate on show. There's no church, but the hamlet is part of the Parish of Lodsworth, which is two miles to the south.
The Lickfold Inn has always been one of the smarter pubs in this part of Sussex, but now it's famous as a result of its ownership - Celeb Chris Evans is the man behind the business if not behind the bar.
