Jane DenmanWest Sussex artist with an ink pen based illustrative style - the picture above, called Indian Summer is an example of her work.
Pewter artFleur is an Angmering artist who specialises in producing beautiful items using lead-free pewter. This is a type of pewter which stays shiny and Fleur's small but perfectly formed website shows some of the sinuous shapes that pewter can adopt given the right degree of skill and imagination.
You can commission individual pieces of pewter art from Fleur or, if you're interested, learn how it is done at a one-day artists' workshop exploring basic pewter working techniques.
Karin MoorhouseArundel artist (and garden designer) who paints portraits and particularly good small still life paintings. Karin produces artworks in oil, chalk pastel and charcoal and will paint portraits to commission.
Jacqueline JermynAbstract artist whose stand out work involves brightly coloured semi-repetitive patterns with fine pen markings and subtle architectural textures.
Sue EnglandSue England is a West Sussex artist and photographer whose landscape and still life paintings make striking use of vivid colours. Sue England has exhibited her work at many of the leading galleries around West Sussex and takes part in the excellent Chichester Open Doors Studio Trail.
Andy WaiteWell known Arundel artist whose brightly coloured landscapes are a highlight of the Arundel Gallery Trail.
Andy's semi-recent works have been based round the landscapes of Tuscany, the delights of Venice and the Sussex landscape (our favourites here at West Sussex.info, of course).
Andy has also painted a very popular and rather good series of Angel portraits.
Karren UrbenBrighton artist and supporter of the Brighton Open House Art Trail, Karren Urben paints in oils or pastels. The majority of Karren's work is portraiture - either close up facial studies laden with emotion or, more recently, interestingly composed portraits where the subject is in a setting performing a task - such as A mother brushing her daughter's hair or Teatime.
Martin BroadleyStorrington artist Martin Broadley says he has spent a long time putting together his current interesting body of work - almost ten years. In his portraiture, his subjects are dealt with sympathetically, almost lovingly, but there's still the same slightly edgy scratchiness that you find in his abstract paintings and mixed media creations. Good stuff.
Gilly McCaddenGilly McCadden produces striking screenprints, usually of abstractly-coloured botanical subjects. Her work also includes attractive small abstract watercolours in which balanced floating blocks of gentle colour are connected by the thinnest of threads.
Gio HayterBold and energetic abstract paintings, inspired by, but not representative of, the forces of nature.
Kathy BaileyArundel artist Kathy Bailey paints large and striking works with acrylics. Many of Kathy's works are physically thickly textured with the addition of oil and other media. Work undertaken to commission.
Chris DruryAntarctica visiting Land Artist with an interest in exploring nature and culture.
