The view of East Harting from Beacon Hill
Beacon Hill, at 242 metres, is one of the highest points on the South Downs in West Sussex.
It also one of the busiest parts of the South Downs Way because many people take advantage of the National Trust run Harting Down Nature Reserve to enjoy the spectacular views to the north.
Looking towards the north west, the view stretches over East Harting and Turkey Island towards the northern tip of the large village of South Harting.
West Harting and Nursted lie beyond and the Downs stretch across towards Petersfield and Butser Country Park near Buriton and the Hampshire / West Sussex border.
