South Portslade Community Centre

Activities at the South Portslade Community Centre include ballroom dancing, self-defence classes, art classes, exercise, pilates, theatre groups, a playgroup, karate, tai chi, ante-natal classes, computing, English and maths classes, weight watchers and yoga.

Foredown Tower

Foredown Tower in Portslade is a rare combination of viewpoint and museum all rolled into one.

The museum is interesting enough with the camera obscura a highlight and plenty of interesting science and engineering exhibits. The attraction also features a countryside centre which is good fun for kids. Foredown Tower itself is a converted Edwardian water tower and is a noteworthy building in its own right.

But it's the views you can see from the top of Foredown Tower that are its real attraction, giving you a chance to look over Brighton and Hove and right along the Sussex coast and out to the English Channel.

Portslade Hedge Hoppers

Portslade's club for runners and walkers. The runners meet at Portslade Sports Centre and the walkers travel further afield to enjoy the West Sussex fresh air.

Portslade Guides

The guides in Portslade run sections for Rainbows, Brownies and Ramblers as well as Guides.

Portslade Cricket Club

Portslade's cricketers play in the Sussex Inviation Cricket League and play their matches at Benfield Valley Park, off Old Shoreham Road in Hove. Below the Ist XI the club supports junior cricket with teams at all age groups.
