Historical societies and history groups
Felbridge and District History SocietySmall number of meetings, outings and exhibitions throughout the year.
The Society's website may look simple but if you dig a little deeper it contains around 30 different papers on many different aspects of the area's history, some of which are a good read. I particularly enjoyed the story of the 1968 fireball horror and an eyewitness account of the reaction to this of Fluffy the Cat - it's on the weather page.
Lindfield History Project GroupVery nice clean website of the Lindfield Local History Group containing information on War Memorials, Walstead Burial Ground and other Lindfield esoterica.
Royal Sussex Living History GroupSite dedicated to keeping alive the history and achievements of The Royal Sussex Regiment
Sussex Egyptology SocietyNote just the website of the Sussex Egyptology Society, but "a gateway...to the wonders of Egypt's ancient civilisation"
Sussex Family History GroupA high quality genealogical research site for Sussex
Sussex History.comLooks at a small number of topics including the route of Charles II along his flight (the Monarch's Way), the sewers of Brighton and plenty of East Preston history.
Sussex Industrial Archaeology SocietyRecording, restoring, and understanding the great old machines of our industrial and agricultural past.
Sussex Records SocietyWorking to publish Sussex related historical documents and encourage research into Sussex history
West Sussex PastA really useful portal with links to a number of resources hosted on the West Sussex County Council website, along with others.
And for the future
