Food and drink
Plenty of opportunities for food and drink at Amberley and Houghton at the end of the leg. The White Horse pub in Sutton is a good one which is worth a detour for a decent meal

Public Transport
The railway station at Amberley has frequent trains running from Portsmouth to London Victoria. You'll need to change at Arundel or Horsham to get on the locally stopping train service.

If using the northbound platform at Amberley you with a bike you will need to be able to carry your bike over the passenger footbridge at the station. Hazards to look out for
Fast moving traffic at Houghton Bridge.
